Submitted Comments: It's very exciting to see his name on some of these sites. My father was quite the character and a hometown favorite. He built and operated the Fairgrounds Motor Speedway (in Louisville) in the early 1960's and introduced Figure 8 racing to this area, which aired on the Wide World Of Sports. I'm sure you've heard of Harry Hyde? He was my fathers mechanic as my father also raced at the Speedway. We both know Harry went onto bigger and better tracks. I hope you can update his stats, it would be greatly appreciated.
